What's in the Archives
The Talent Historical Society's Jackson Country Pioneer Index contains contains a listing of over 19,000 surnames of the early settlers of Southern Oregon, from about 1853 - 1900.
The information contained within this Index was obtained with permission from Wright Research & Archives, LLC.
For an up-to-date, expanded surname index, or to order an individual's Historical Record (including all citations and notes), please visit Wright Research & Archives' website.
Viewing the Pioneer Index
The Pioneer Index is sorted alphabetically by last name. Each listing contains the individual's name, a unique personal ID, their birthdate, and the individual's father's and mother's names. (Please note that for some individuals, not all of this information may be known).
To browse the Index, simply click on the desired alphabetical link in the left-hand area of this site (these are entitled "Pioneers A-B", "Pioneers C-D", etc.).

To obtain a copy of the Historical Record for an individual listed in our Index, please visit Wright Research & Archives' website.
